Couch, Gerwig wed

FORT WAYNE-Patricia Anne Couch and Jerry Leon Gerwig were united in holy matrimony Dec. 29, 2007 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with Father Darryl Rybicki officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Margaret Couch of Fort Wayne and the late Fred Couch.

The groom is the son of the late Desdalora Gerwig and the late Arthur Gerwig.

The Matron of Honor was Linda Linnemeier; the Best Man was Mark Gerwig.

The junior bridesmaids were Amanda Gerwig, Athena Couch, Kaitlin Gerwig, Allyssa Gerwig, Jacci Speigner and Kaela Speigner. The junior groomsmen were Benjamin Gerwig, Alec Couch, Nathan Couch, Nicholas Couch and Noah Couch.

The reception was held at Lester's Party Room. The couple honeymooned on a Southern Caribbean Cruise including the islands of Aruba, St. Martin and St. Thomas.

Both Couch and Gerwig were school teachers at Geyer Middle School and the story of their romance begins there. Gerwig retired from Geyer, Pat Couch is now teaching at Northrop High School.

Dartanya Williamson was the assigned coordinator from Kiss Wedding and Event Planning Inc. for this wedding. Ironically, she is a former Geyer student. She was ably assisted by partners Shonda Cann and Suezette Ford of Kiss Wedding and Event Planning.
